Duck-Billed Dinosaur Blues
We build our nests in the dirt, Baby.
That's where we lay our eggs.
Our tails stick out straight behind us, Honey.
We walk on our hind legs.
We travel in great big herds sweet-heart
In a thund'rin' mass of jive.
We protect our young from troodons
That try to gobble them alive.
Chorus:
We've got those duck-billed dinosaur blues, Baby.
They've darned near driven us to tears.
We've got those duck-billed dinosaur blues, Honey.
We've had 'em for eighty million years.
We hide from Albertosaurus, Honey.
He look like a tyrannosaurus rex.
Yes, any time he might just jump out
And bite us on our necks.
You humans think you got the blues, Baby.
Well, you ain't as blue as you might think.
You're on top of that ol' food chain,
and at least you ain't extinct.
Chorus
