Fossil Fuel Cowboy
I'm proud to be a fossil fuel cowboy,
A diesel burning, meat consuming man.
I ain't gotta have no brains.
I'm at the top of the food chain,
And the way I see it now,
There ain't bound to be no change.
When I was young my daddy was a loser.
He tried to make it on a family farm.
We didn't have a dime,
And we was workin' most the time,
So I left him there at home
And made a fortune on my own.
Yes, I learned the ins and outs of agri-business
And how to take the water table down.
In spring I fertilize.
In fall my crops is over-sized,
And I don't lift a finger
'Cause it's all computerized.
Yes I'm proud to be a fossil fuel cowboy.
It's in the air I breathe and in my blood.
I burn it up in stacks,
And I wear it on my back
In my dacron leisure suit
And my double-knitted slacks.
Yes, I'm proud to be a fossil fuel cowboy,
And I say this prayer before I go to bed:
"God help me if I need it.
Give me oil till I deplete it,
Then I won't give a shit 'cause I'll be dead.
Repeat first stanza. |
